Little People

You see these little people! I just
bought them from the Dollar Store.
These dolls are only $1.00 each!
And they are at that store NOW.
They have 8 different colors to
choose from. Black hair, red hair,
red dress or rose dress. Here are
the fronts of three dolls.
Here is what their backs look like.
I placed a ruler beside Emily &
a dollar tree doll. But you cannot
see it very well. I made Emily
6 inches tall. The little doll is 5.
Even if you do not want any of
the dolls - their little dresses are
worth a dollar. You can hang their
little dresses on hangers & place
them inside of a closet. On the red
haired doll with the green dress, her hat
is glued on - just peel it off. If you have
to cut some of the hair off - then do so.
You can trim the hair off from the hat
as close as you can afterwards. By the way the
dress is glued on the doll - but after you
take it off - you can glue it back together.
I am going to take this red haired doll &
turn her into a young witch. On my next apartment
building - one of those apartments will be hers.
Are you having a good weekend - I hope so!

Meet Widow Sarah

The Louisana apartment building relocated
from my sewing room to my bedroom. I
ran out of square footage!
Here is just one of those apartments
that is now completed except for trimming.
I do not know if I will put
up any moldings on the ceilings. Thats up in the air for now.
I kind of like that look. The irregularity of the walls & floors.
Curtains are also another things that I am considering leaving
out in much of the apartment. The wallpaper in this apartment
is really scrapbooking paper. I loved the look of it so
I decided to use it. It gives
an old appearance to the somewhat dated apartment.
The scrapbook paper only cost me 69 cents a sheet. And the
sheets are large. I used a total of 5 sheets to wallpaper the
entire apartment. Also the paper is a little thicker. It
adhered to the walls with ease. The bubbles smoothed out
almost instantanously! I am going to use scrapbook paper
to wallpaper all of the apartments.
Meet the widow Sarah. Isn't she young looking!
Sarah & her husband had lived here for over 20
years. Now in her 50's life has settled down
more for her especially after the death of her
handsome husband Bernard.
Here is where she sits waiting for her
daughter Emily to arrive so they can drink tea together.
Sarah is dreading the argument they will definitely
get into. Emily has been trying to get her
mother to get rid of one of the beds & some of the
other stuff that is crowding up this nice apartment.
Sarah is reluctant to get rid of anymore of her
cherished belongings.

Emily is sure that all of this dust is
a health issue. However Sarah doesnt have the
energy or the gumption needed
to clean everything up. She would like
it to be cleaned but not at the
expense of getting rid of it
all! What's wrong with Emily?

If you want to see a photo of the
handsome Bernard.
Then just zoom in on the picture that is on
Sarah's vanity. The curtains are down.
They are being washed at Emily's insistence.

Look at all of the dust on the dresser.
Emily is right & Sarah knows
it. She just cant help it. No energy!
There was Bernard's desk. Every day he
sat there looking at the newspaper while
smoking his pipe & figuring out the bills.
Sarah cannot even think about the
idea of getting rid of the pipes that
Bernard adored. One pipe dates back
to the 1800's. Its been in his family
for generations. The pictures beside the
bed never got hung. Earlier they had been under
the bed. It would be nice to hang them - but where?
The bed with the brown bedding on it was Bernard's
bed. Sarah cannot part with it. And it doesnt matter
what Emily says. It is not leaving this apartment!

See Sarah's old lace curtains.
They do have some holes in them
from where they have been washed over
the years. But she just cannot part with them.
They used to belong to her mother.
Sarah just loves old lace.
The front door is right beside the stove.
Such a cute apartment - dont you agree!
Every day Bernard would sit in that red
armchair & look out of the window. The
sun shines through here & gives you lots
of vitamin D. At least thats what Bernard
said. Sarah remembers their chit chats.

Isnt the kitchen roomy. Lots of room
here just for Sarah. And look at those
2 yummy cakes that Sarah baked today.

Another view of the kitchen looking
into the bedroom. if that dresser was
gone - then you could see the bedroom
better. But Emily cannot get Sarah to get
rid of it. That's a shame. Its such a nice

Look inside the window.
The apartment is on the 4th floor
so there isnt any worry about anyone
looking in. The curtains that hung here
were so tattered & torn. One day
Emily just took them down & threw
them in the thrash!

The apartment on the outside
is getting a new paint job or something.
The owners of the building dont
know if they want to brick it or
what?? They stripped it down
as far as they could.

The apartment is just
below the Penthouse. Take a peek
inside the windows. Can you see
the widow Sarah.

A mini life can be anything that
your imagination desires. Let it
air out.
